Sue Eigl's Legacy
Suzanne Eigl (known as “Sue” to nearly everyone who loved her) was incredibly strong, quick-witted, and deeply compassionate. She had a special way of making people feel safe, welcome, and like family from the moment they were around her.

After surviving rectal cancer and reaching full remission, Sue was diagnosed with adrenocortical carcinoma in the summer of 2025. She passed away in December 2025, just weeks before her 60th birthday.
​
Sue loved the beach, peaceful trips upstate, reading, and spending time with the people she loved. Above all else, her family was her greatest pride and purpose. She was a devoted mother to her four children—Katie, Amanda, Joseph, and William, nothing brought her more joy than being “Nana” to her granddaughters.

Gentle yet fiercely protective, Sue gave endlessly to the people around her. She was a bright and loving presence, the heart of her family, and the person who made home feel like home. To her daughter Katie and all those who loved her, Sue was the true definition of a mother: strong, selfless, reassuring, and full of unconditional love.

Her absence is immeasurable, but so is the love she leaves behind.
