OLIVIAS'S STORY
Olivia Ciafrei is a 29-year-old who also goes by the name “Liv”, a declaration which emphasizes her determination and commitment to live. Two years ago, Olivia was diagnosed with Stage 2 ACC (which was later discovered to be Stage 3). After her primary open surgery, she underwent treatment via Mitotane, but experienced recurrence to both her lungs and liver, advancing to stage 4.

This cause is everything to Olivia, not only because of the daily fight she endures to preserve her own life, but also to support others who are battling this disease. Due to its rarity, there is limited funding, research, and awareness, resulting in few treatment options. Olivia believes this cancer deserves advocacy and advanced research to improve prognoses for all affected.

Olivia lives in the Bay Area of California and is passionate about making a difference in society through prison reform, and advocating for the rights of those who are incarcerated. When not volunteering or spending time with her family, Olivia is likely to be found either walking her dog or dancing in her garden.
